How It Works.

Our approach to lightweight video content makes projects faster, easier, and reduces overhead. We strip our productions down to the essentials – gear that fits inside a backpack – and rely on marrying expert storytelling with the best solo creators to make great videos.

Step 1: Book a Chemistry Call

Start with a 30 minute Chemistry Call, where we discuss your project and determine your needs. To prepare, it’s helpful to know your goals, KPIs, target audiences, and to have a general vision of the project. 

Step 2: Get a Quote

If Backpack is a good fit for your project, we will prepare a quote. In many cases, we can provide a quote on the chemistry call, but you can expect to have a quote within 24 hours. 

Step 3: Kickoff

Once we agree to move forward, we dive deep into your business or organization in a Kickoff Call. We gather as much information about your audience, ensure our deliverables align with your goals, discuss creative approaches and concepts, and set expectations for a smooth project.

Step 4: Production Preparation

After the kickoff, we prepare for content capture. This may involve a few meetings to ensure alignment of date, time, place, and people. Our producer will ensure everybody knows key information and what to expect for the shoot. 

Step 5: Content Capture

It’s time to shoot! During content capture, your crew of 1-4 people will guide you through the production, ensuring we capture everything necessary to complete your deliverables. 

Step 6: Content Editing

Once everything is recorded, our team begins editing the raw assets into final deliverables. This happens in 1-3 revision rounds, where you will provide feedback on the assets and guide what you’d like to see changed. 

Step 7: Delivery!

Once we finalize deliverables, we ensure the assets are optimized for your placements and upload them to Google Drive, where they will be available indefinitely.

  • “Backpack Production” is a video production style where all of the gear you need fits into a backpack. Production gear has come a long way in the last decade, and now an entire high-quality production can be run by a single person. We believe this approach unlocks the door for so many businesses to improve their content and storytelling, so we launched a product that brings this approach to the masses.

  • For most productions, we need at least 1 week lead time to start. Once we have captured the video, in most cases you can expect to have your content within a month, if not sooner. But, it really depends on your project. During your chemistry call, we can give you a more appropriate estimate for your needs.

    We can make great content quickly. But remember, the more time we have, the better the content will be.

  • If needed, we will connect you with a media buyer who can help you place the content we create together.

  • You can expect to invest a minimum of $5,680 in a project, with many projects being under $15,000.

    For most projects, payment is made in two payments, but longer projects can be split into more payments.
